Recent events continue to show the level to which terrorists will go to achieve their aims with potentially devastating consequences. In the event of an incident the effectiveness of the response made by your staff is of paramount importance in protecting customers, personnel and your buildings. Project Argus is a workshop-based event designed to inform and advise management in preparing a response to a serious event such as a terrorist attack at places such as a shopping centre. The event is suitable for all those in a management or other supervisory role and those involved in the security and safety of their business.
Project ARGUS is a NaCTSO counter terrorism testing and exercising initiative, delivered by Counter Terrorism Security Advisers and Counter Terrorism Awareness Advisers.
Taking the opportunity to attend a session will enable you to gain a better understanding of the threat from terrorism and of simple security measures that can be taken to protect a business or an organisation.
Participants from business are asked to consider their preparedness for a terrorist attack through a series of simulated multi-media scenarios. The aim is to identify measures to help their organisation to prevent, manage and recover from a terrorist incident.
Reduce vulnerability by exercising
Project ARGUS explores what is likely to happen in the event of a terrorist attack. It highlights the importance of being prepared and having the necessary plans in place to help safeguard staff, visitors and assets. All events include a module on a terrorist firearm or weapons attack.
The events are free of charge and last for approximately three hours. They are interactive and require some audience participation. An expert group will be in attendance at most events consisting of members from the emergency services, local authority and other specialist agencies to answer any queries
Individuals and Organisations interested in attending this event, should email the Sutton
Counter Terrorism Security Desk at Sutton.CTFD@met.police.uk with their name, company, contact details (telephone number and email) along with details of the number of people wishing to attend. It’s been an exciting year for Iconic . One of our stylists Georgia Wild entered a major Hairdressing competition called Colorzoom hosted by Goldwell UK . She had a photo shoot in May and went on to win the New Talent Colorist Category 2016 held at the Guildhall in July. Her prize was to go to Stockholm where she was to represent the U.K. in a global competition. There were 36 countries taking part in a live competition in the Globe . We are delighted to say she won the silver award coming second in her category.
We are extremely proud!
